The inauguration of a new home and fashion event “Revive” takes place on June 8, 2023, and features an integration of award-winning couture designers and tailors with up-and-coming next generation designers. Featured designers include Ella Pritsker, Christopher Schafer, Nicole Myrick, Yelé, Jacob Heath, Eryn Boggs, and individuals from The Cavanagh House. Accenting the runway will be signature reupholstered pieces done by students of The Cavanagh House upholstery program.
Hosted by The Cavanagh House, this event is meant to create awareness surrounding the dwindling upholstery and fashion industries in Baltimore and the opportunities that The Cavanagh House trade programs have to offer. We strive to revitalize these lacking industries by sending our skilled individuals out into their respective fields.
We all can recognize the issues at hand but forget that we hold the answer. A new wave of talented designers will give Baltimore the help it needs to revive its upholstery and fashion industries. With your support, we can accomplish this mission.
We aim for the “Baltimore Home and Fashion Show” to become an annual event that will continue to drive awareness, increase support, and showcase the amazing talent and opportunities in Baltimore for years to come.

Christopher Schafer wants you to look your best for every one of life's great occasions. He takes pride in his work and feels that every garment that he creates is a direct representation of himself. Christopher makes sure that all the details are correct and that you get the best fit possible. He will take the time with you to design the best clothing that you have ever owned. This old world work ethic is not going unnoticed, he was voted Baltimore’s Best Tailor by City Paper in 2009, Baltimore Magazine in 2010, Fashion Awards MD & City Paper in 2012, and Baltimore Magazine in 2014.
Christopher learned the art of measuring & design to create custom clothing while living in London, a city that had a profound effect on his life. He learned from some of the best clothiers in the world and immersed himself in the English culture. Christopher would frequently visit Savile Row and Jermyn Street to gain ideas and inspiration. The end result was a new style which blends European style and fit with comfort to create clean understated lines. This formula produces fashionable, fitted and comfortable clothing that you will love to wear.

Fashion Designer Ella Pritsker, born in Soviet Russia, is known for her timeless designs and classic trademark suits. Her style is elegant and sophisticated, paired with great attention to detail.
At the age of 21 while in Austria and Italy and waiting to emigrate to the US, destiny would have it that she met three “Old World” European dressmakers who exposed her to the exciting world of high fashion. Each taught her a piece of the fine art of hand stitched custom couture.
In the states, she began her couture business and quickly gained a following. She was quickly named Baltimore’s Best Custom Clothing Designer by Baltimore Magazine in 2002.
Throughout the years, Ella has helped many individuals through the process of product design and development. From patternmaking to production to marketing to being featured in New York Fashion Week, she has led promising designers on the journey to making their dreams become a reality.
